The herbs used to produce our Green blend tea are grown on different farms here in the Netherlands, in this way we create variety and don't use just one huge area of land. So, the impact on the soil is minimized. And lastly, the herbs used for this tea are native dutch so by growing them here we increase the biodiversity of the Netherlands and also the levels of bees, butterflies, birds, etc.
In an attempt to reduce the impact of monoculture in the soil and recover the biodiversity of the Netherlands Wilder-land together with other small farms in the area produce these native varieties of tea like chamomile, nettle, plantain, dandelion, yarrow, cornflower, and many more. All herbs that are healthy for people and nature!
Ekoto is looking together with Wilder-land to grow other herb crops locally and work more together to pursue our goals of sustainable production!
